Vikram Solar signs 1 GW domestic cell supply agreement with Avaada Electro

Vikram Solar has entered into an agreement with Avaada Electro for the supply of 1 GW of domestically manufactured solar cells. Under the agreement, Avaada Electro will supply ALMM-compliant half-cut N-Type G12R TOPCon solar cells for Vikram Solar’s module manufacturing operations.

Deliveries of solar cells are expected to commence in September 2026. Furthermore, the agreement adds to the other supply agreements inked by Vikram Solar earlier this year. It also complements its planned 9 GW solar cell manufacturing facility, which is scheduled to be commissioned in the fourth quarter of financial year 2026-27.

Earlier this month, Vikram Solar Limited secured a 124 MW module supply order from Capital Energy Private Limited for a solar project in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. Under the agreement, the company will supply its high-efficiency G12R TOPCon modules, with rated capacities ranging from 620 Wp to 630 Wp.
