Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has announced its intent to invite bids for the development of 4,083.75 kW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects. The projects will be developed at constituent colleges and institutions of Central Agricultural University, Imphal, in the Northeastern region under RTSPV Tranche XIII.
Furthermore, the tender covers 13 projects to be developed under the renewable energy service company mode through tariff-based competitive bidding. A single-stage, two-envelope competitive bidding procedure will be adopted for the selection of solar developers, and the request for selection document will be issued shortly.
In September 2026, SECI signed an MoU with HyperVault AI Data Center Limited to supply renewable energy to the company’s upcoming data centre facilities in Telangana. Under the agreement, SECI will explore the development of captive renewable energy projects and support land identification and transmission connectivity to facilitate reliable power supply to the facilities.
