SDG Namibia One has signed a development funding agreement with Enersense Energy Namibia, to advance the development of the Dâures green fertiliser project in Namibia’s Erongo region. The project will use renewable power and green hydrogen to produce up to 20,000 tonnes of green ammonia annually and up to 80,000 tonnes of ammonium sulphate fertiliser annually.
The project will feature 60 MW of solar photovoltaic, 10 MW of wind generation, 65 MWh of storage and a 40 MW electrolysis facility. Moreover, SDG Namibia One will provide up to $3 million towards a total development budget of $7.07 million and will act as a co-developer for the project. The project’s financial close is targeted for the second quarter of 2028, with commercial operations expected to begin in the first quarter of 2030.
In December 2025, SDG Namibia One Fund entered into a development funding agreement with Zhero Europe to advance the Zhero Molecules Walvis Bay project, an industrial-scale green ammonia facility planned near Walvis Bay in Namibia’s Erongo region. The fund has committed up to $5.15 million to support development and feasibility activities required to move the project towards a final investment decision targeted for 2027.
