Invenergy and HASI close equity deal for 2.7 GW renewable portfolio in US

Invenergy and HA Sustainable Infrastructure Capital, Inc. (HASI) have closed a strategic equity partnership to support a 2.7 GW renewable portfolio of solar, solar-plus-storage and wind projects across the US. The portfolio comprises 10 projects spread across seven states: Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Arkansas, Indiana, Ohio and New York, and six major US power markets. More than 850 MW of the portfolio is currently operational, while the remaining projects are expected to achieve commercial operation by the first quarter of 2027.

Under the partnership, HASI will fund each project as it reaches commercial operation. Invenergy will retain control and majority ownership of the assets and will continue to lead their day-to-day operations. All the projects are backed by long-term agreements with investment-grade offtakers, including corporate, utility and public sector entities. Furthermore, CIBC Capital Markets acted as adviser to Invenergy for the transaction.

In May 2026, HASI and Ørsted closed a series of land financing transactions covering around 1 GW of operational solar and battery storage projects across Arizona, Texas and Alabama. The portfolio comprises the Eleven Mile solar center in Arizona, the Sparta solar project in Texas and the Muscle Shoals solar project in Alabama. Ørsted and its partners will continue to own and operate the projects.
