VSL PowerHive launches liquid-cooled BESS for C&I applications

VSL PowerHive Private Limited has launched a 125 kW/261 kWh liquid-cooled battery energy storage system (BESS) named P261. The product is designed to meet the requirements of commercial and industrial consumers. The BESS features a compact, single-cabinet design equipped with precision liquid cooling to safeguard battery cells. This also helps to extend battery life beyond that of conventional systems. Its integrated energy management system facilitates real-time monitoring and remote diagnostics, while fire suppression and multi layer safety mechanisms provide protection against overcharging, short circuits and thermal events.

Furthermore, the BESS is also equipped with a 261 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery featuring a nominal voltage of 832 V and a cell capacity of 314 Ah. This is designed to deliver high-efficiency charging and discharging across both on-grid and off-grid applications. The system can operate reliably across a wide temperature range of -30 °C to 50 °C, and has an IP52S rating for protection against dust and water ingress, making it suitable for demanding industrial environments. The system addresses various applications, including backup power, peak load management, solar energy storage, diesel generator reduction, power quality and reliability support, electric vehicle charging and microgrid applications.
