OCI Energy, Arava Power and partners have broken ground on the SunRoper solar project in Wharton county, Texas. The project has an installed capacity of 347 MWdc, and is expected to commence operations in December 2027. Furthermore, the project, jointly developed by OCI Energy and Arava Power, is being financed by ING Capital, and constructed by WHC Energy Services.
In June 2026, OCI Energy announced the successful closing of approximately $130 million in tax equity financing for the Alamo City battery energy storage system (BESS) project located in Bexar county, Texas. The 120 MW/480 MWh BESS is being developed under a long-term storage capacity agreement with CPS Energy. The financing was provided by Greenprint Capital.
In May 2026, OCI Energy and Arava Power signed a membership interest purchase agreement (MIPA) for the 670 MWdc La Salle solar project. The project is located in La Salle county, Texas. Under the agreement, Arava Power will acquire a 50 per cent stake in the project, with both companies jointly financing, constructing, owning, and operating the plant.
