Axis Energy has secured the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for a 552 MWp utility-scale solar power project. The project is being developed by Evren, a joint venture between Brookfield and Axis Energy, in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. It is targeted for commissioning within the next 18 months. Moreover, the project is part of a 400 MW wind-solar hybrid renewable energy project integrated with battery energy storage systems (BESS) and connected to the state grid.
The project is designed to supply renewable power during peak demand periods. Additionally, Axis Energy is also carrying out the EPC works for the project’s 640.5 MW wind component, which is currently under construction.
Earlier, in August 2026, Ola Electric Mobility Limited signed an MoU with Axis Energy for the potential deployment of up to 20 GWh of BESS projects by 2032. The companies will gradually increase production to 5 GWh of BESS capacity annually starting in 2028.
