Kosol Energie introduces glass-to-glass solar modules

Kosol Energie has unveiled N-type TOPCon glass-to-glass solar modules. The modules use half-cut M10R, G12R and G12 cells and are available in power outputs of 600 Wp, 620 Wp, 630 Wp and 715 Wp. They have been designed to deliver long-term reliability and enhanced durability in harsh weather conditions and will also be available in Bureau of Indian Standards-certified domestic content requirement configurations, featuring 132 half-cut cells. The modules have passed through 35 mm hail impact testing, exceeding the 25 mm hail diameter specified under the IEC 61215:2021 qualification standard.

The glass-to-glass design of the modules reportedly offers enhanced protection against moisture ingress, environmental stress and long-term degradation. Furthermore, the modules use higher GSM POE (polyolefin elastomer) encapsulation, providing additional cushioning to solar cells. They also feature high-transmission, anti-reflective coated glass, which, according to the company, enables greater light absorption and improved energy generation while maintaining high conversion efficiency across different climatic conditions.
