Paradip Port Authority floats tender for 1 MW green hydrogen plant and 8 fuel cell electric buses

Paradip Port Authority has invited online bids for project management consultancy services for developing a 1 MW electrolyser-based green hydrogen plant and procuring eight hydrogen-powered fuel cell electric buses. The deadline for bid submission is September 2, 2026.

The estimated cost of the consultancy work is Rs 21.8 million. According to the tender guidelines, the selected consultant will prepare techno-economic feasibility reports, tender documents and technical specifications, and support bid evaluation and project implementation. The project will include a 1 MW green hydrogen generation system, hydrogen compression and high-pressure storage facilities, safety systems and automated refuelling dispensers. It will also include the procurement of eight 32-seater fuel cell electric buses.

Additionally, the consultant will also support site safety studies, monitor project execution and oversee the operationalisation and three-year maintenance period of the green hydrogen facility. Bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 436,000.
