SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of SJVN Limited, has floated a tender for the development of grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) projects with an aggregate capacity of up to 1,000 MW in Punjab and Rajasthan. The projects will be developed on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis along with land. Moreover, the successful contractor will also provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services for five years.
According to the tender guidelines, the selected contractor will be responsible for the complete development of the projects on a turnkey basis. The scope includes arranging land on a long-term lease of at least 28 years, carrying out surveys and studies, and undertaking the design, engineering, construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and grid integration of the projects. SGEL will provide solar PV modules at designated locations, while the contractor will be responsible for their transportation, handling, storage, installation, and integration into the projects, along with other required works and services.
Bidders can submit proposals for 250 MW, 500 MW, 750 MW, or 1,000 MW, with each project having a capacity of 250 MW or an integral multiple thereof. Additionally, bidders will be required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 1,000,000 per MW. The deadline for bid submission is September 16, 2026.
