Hinduja Group announces Rs 25 billion clean energy investment in Tamil Nadu 

The Hinduja Group has announced plans to invest Rs 25 billion in Tamil Nadu across renewable energy, electric mobility, automotive, financial services, energy, battery charging infrastructure and digital mobility solutions. As part of the investment, Hinduja Renewables Energy Private Limited will develop more than 200 MW of renewable energy projects across solar, wind and battery technologies. 

The company will seek land and connectivity support in Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Virudhunagar, Madurai, and Coimbatore for these projects. Furthermore, in the mobility segment, OHM Global Mobility Limited, an electric mobility provider for the Hinduja Group,  will operationalise electric buses for public transport in Tamil Nadu and expand its mobility solutions business. 

Earlier, in March 2026, LG Electronics (LGE) India inked long-term solar power purchase agreements with Hinduja Renewables Energy Private Limited and Sunsure Energy. With Hinduja Renewables, LGE has inked a 9.8 MWp solar PPA to source power for its Pune manufacturing facility.
