SJVN Limited has commissioned the 75 MW Jamui Solar Power Project in Bihar through its wholly owned subsidiary, SJVN Green Energy Limited. The project has been developed across approximately 300 acres near Hadhadiya and Kakanchaur villages in Jamui district at an estimated cost of Rs 13.42 billion. Power generated from the project will be supplied to Bihar at a tariff of Rs 2.96 per unit. The project was developed pursuant to a tender issued by the Bihar Renewable Energy Development Agency.
In July 2026, SJVN’s 1,000 MW solar project in Rajasthan was inaugurated. The project was developed by its renewable energy arm, SJVN Green Energy Limited, at an investment of approximately Rs 54.92 billion in Pachapadra, Rajasthan. The power generated will be supplied to Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Jammu & Kashmir, with allocations of 500 MW, 200 MW and 300 MW, respectively.
In July 2026, SJVN Limited issued a tender to set up a 265 MW/530 MWh standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) in Haryana under the Viability Gap Funding (VGF) scheme. The projects will be awarded through a tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) process. The deadline for bid submission is August 21, 2026.
