TrueRE Oriana Power Limited has signed an MoU with the Government of Maharashtra to invest approximately Rs 45 billion in an integrated green hydrogen project in the state. The proposed project will include facilities for producing green hydrogen and its downstream derivatives, including green ammonia and green methanol. The project is proposed to be implemented in a time-bound manner in line with the applicable policies of the Government of Maharashtra.
According to the MoU, the Government of Maharashtra will provide the necessary facilitation and support to Oriana Power for obtaining approvals, permissions, registrations, clearances and applicable fiscal incentives from the relevant state authorities. These will be provided in accordance with the applicable laws, policies and regulations to support the timely implementation of the project.
Earlier, in April 2026, TrueRE Oriana Power inked a long-term green ammonia purchase agreement (GAPA) with Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited. The GAPA covers the supply of 60,000 tonnes per annum of green ammonia at a discovered price of Rs 52.25 per kg. The total contract is valued at around Rs 31.35 billion and will be executed over a period of 10 years.
