NLC India Renewables Limited (NIRL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NLC India Limited, has received a letter of award (LoA) from Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) for setting up a 200 MW wind project in Koppal, Karnataka. The power generated from the project will be supplied to SECI.
In July 2026, NIRL received a letter of intent from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) for the development of a 900 MW solar project. The project was awarded through a tariff-based competitive bidding process, and the power generated will be procured by GUVNL.
Also in July 2026, NIRL secured 600 MW of grid-connected solar capacity at the Jalaun Solar Park in Uttar Pradesh from Bundelkhand Saur Urja Limited, a joint venture of NHPC Limited and Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency. The project was awarded at a tariff of Rs 2.73 per kWh.
