Serentica Renewables commissions 200 MWh BESS in Rajasthan

Serentica Renewables has commissioned Phase I of its 1 GWh battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Bikaner, Rajasthan. This first phase comprises a 200 MWh BESS Additionally, the project also powers a time block round-the-clock renewable power arrangements for industrial consumers, demonstrating the use of battery storage to deliver dependable 24×7 clean power.

In July 2026, Serentica Renewables secured a loan agreement for debt financing of up to $345.1 million to develop and refinance a solar-wind hybrid project in Koppal, Karnataka. The financing was raised through a consortium of lenders led by the Asian Development Bank and executed through the company’s special purpose vehicle, Serentica Renewables India 1 Private Limited. 

Also in July 2026, Serentica Renewables signed a power purchase agreement with the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) for a 600 MW/2,400 MWh project under SECI’s firm and despatchable renewable energy VII assured peak tender.
