Navitas Solar and Caelux ink 5 GW solar module partnership

Navitas Solar Private Limited and Caelux Corporation have entered into a five-year 5 GW commercialisation partnership to manufacture ultra-high efficiency hybrid tandem solar modules. The partnership will combine Caelux’s perovskite energy-producing glass technology with Navitas Solar’s N-Type TOPCon technology to produce solar modules. The modules will have efficiencies of up to 28 per cent.

Furthermore, the collaboration brings together Navitas Solar’s vertically integrated multi-GW manufacturing platform and Caelux’s perovskite solar technology. The companies are targeting to commence commercial production of modules by 2028. Additionally, the modules are expected to meet the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers eligibility requirements.

In June 2026, Navitas Solar Private Limited announced plans to invest Rs 15 billion to establish an integrated solar manufacturing facility in Gujarat. The facility will include a 3.6 GW solar cell manufacturing plant along with a pilot wafer and ingot production line, with wafer and ingot production targeted to commence by 2027.
