Energy In Motion Limited (EIM) has signed an agreement with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) to establish and operate fast charging and battery swapping infrastructure for heavy commercial vehicles at select HPCL retail outlets across India. The charging and battery swapping infrastructure will be deployed in a phased manner across HPCL’s fuel station network.
Furthermore, under the agreement, EIM plans to establish swap-and-charge hubs along key freight corridors, including Mumbai-Pune, Delhi-Jaipur, and Chennai-Bengaluru, over the next 18 to 24 months. The stations will cater to electric commercial vehicles and will be integrated with EIM’s technology platform for real-time availability, digital payments, and remote monitoring. Additionally, HPCL will provide the space, utilities, and common amenities at its retail outlets.
In July 2026, EIM executed a letter of agreement with Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited to establish a supply partnership for lithium iron phosphate cells and battery pack kits.
