Cadiz and RIC Energy have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop on-site solar facilities at Cadiz Ranch in California. The agreement also expands both the companies’ collaboration on green hydrogen production, including plans to assess hydrogen transportation infrastructure using Cadiz’s 220-mile Northern Pipeline corridor.
Additionally, the solar projects will serve as the first phase of an integrated renewable energy platform powering agricultural operations, the Mojave Groundwater Bank, and regional water projects in San Bernardino County. The agreement builds on a strategic alliance launched in October 2024 to advance low-carbon energy and water infrastructure in the region.
In November 2025, Raven SR obtained its final air permit and the authority to construct from the Bay Area Air District for a facility in Richmond, California that will convert diverted organic waste into renewable hydrogen using a non-combustion steam/carbon dioxide reforming process. The project will be located at a Republic Service’s closed West Contra Costa Sanitary landfill site and will process up to 99 wet tonnes of organic waste per day.
