3rd Edition of CBG in India I Project Economics, Financing Landscape and Role of Carbon Credits

 

The panel discussion on the topic “Project Economics, Financing Landscape and Role of Carbon Credits” brought together key stakeholders to discuss financing challenges, emerging funding mechanisms, and the role of carbon credits in enhancing the commercial viability of CBG projects at the 3rd Annual Conference on Compressed Biogas in India.

The discussion focused on improving project bankability through stronger feedstock and offtake arrangements, better access to debt, refinancing options and policy support. The panelists also highlighted that carbon credits can improve project returns, but uncertain pricing, limited market data and evolving domestic carbon markets continue to constrain their full potential.
