NHPC Limited and Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited (CSPDCL) have signed a power purchase agreement (PPA), under which, NHPC will supply power to CSPDCL from its 1,720 MW Kamala hydroelectric project in Arunachal Pradesh. The power will be supplied for a period of 40 years from the commercial operation date of the project.
Earlier this month, NHPC Limited signed a PPA with Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited for the supply of power from the 1,720 MW Kamala hydroelectric project. Under the agreement, NHPC will supply hydroelectric power to TSECL for a period of 40 years from the commercial operation date of the project.
In June 2026, NHPC Limited and Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited signed a PPA for the supply of electricity from NHPC’s 260 MW Dulhasti Stage-II hydroelectric project located in the Kishtwar district of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Under the agreement, UPPCL will purchase power from the project for 40 years from its commercial operation date.
