ACME Solar secures REC funding for 450 MW assured peak power project

ACME Solar has secured long-term project financing of Rs 26.46 billion from REC Limited for its ACME Greentech Seventh 450 MW/1,800 MWh assured peak power project. REC Limited will serve as the sole financier for the project over a period of 20 years, with the funds to be utilised for the development and construction of the project.

Furthermore, the power purchase agreement for the project has been signed with SJVN Limited at a tariff of Rs 6.74 per kWh for a period of 25 years. The project combines solar power and a battery energy storage system (BESS) to deliver assured peak power with enhanced predictability and dispatchability.

In June 2026, ACME Solar Holdings Limited commissioned 33.33 MW/120.38 MWh of BESS capacity through its wholly owned subsidiary, ACME Sun Power Private Limited. The project is located at Village Badi Sid in Jodhpur and Tehsil Bap in Phalodi, Rajasthan.
