EIM and CATL sign 500 MWh LFP battery cell deal

Energy In Motion Limited (EIM), an associate company of Ravindra Energy Limited (REL), has executed a letter of agreement (LoA) with Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) to establish a supply partnership for lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells and battery pack kits.

According to the agreement, CATL will supply 0.5 GWh of LFP cells based on its upgraded CB7T0 cell model and L324D06 battery pack platform. The battery packs will be configured into 400.6 kWh systems for integration into EIM’s E-Tractor 4×2 Ashwa series and will be fitted into swappable battery boxes customised for high ambient temperature operating conditions.

In January 2026, REL received 13 letters of award from Hubli Electricity Supply Company Limited (HESCOM) to develop, own and operate an aggregate capacity of 62 MWac of solar projects under the build-own-operate model across 13 HESCOM substations. Additionally, HESCOM will enter into a 25-year power purchase agreement with REL.
