Serentica Renewables has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) for a 600 MW/2,400 MWh project under SECI’s firm and despatchable renewable energy (FDRE) VII assured peak tender. The project will supply FDRE during non-solar hours to support power demand during peak periods.
The FDRE VII tender has a total capacity of 4,800 MWh and is expected to generate around 975 million units of renewable energy annually. Moreover, it will help avoid more than 1 million tonnes of carbon emissions each year. Following this award, Serentica Renewables’ utility-scale renewable energy portfolio has grown to over 8.7 GWp.
Earlier, in June 2026, Serentica Renewables announced plans to invest Rs 1,000 billion in Rajasthan over the coming years to expand its renewable energy capacity, with more than Rs 100 billion already invested in the state.
