Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited has received a letter of empanelment and rate contract from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for the design, manufacture, supply, transport, installation, testing, and commissioning of off-grid DC solar water pumping systems across Maharashtra. The order, awarded under the PM Kusum B Scheme Magel Tyala Saur Krishi Pump Yojna scheme, is valued at approximately Rs 297.7 million.
According to the contract, Crompton Greaves will supply and install 1,397 solar water pumping systems. Additionally, the scope of work includes a complete system warranty, repair, and maintenance, and a remote monitoring system for five years. Crompton Greaves is required to complete the project within 60 days from the date of issuance of the notice to proceed or work order.
Earlier, in April 2026, Crompton Greaves received an order from MSEDCL for the deployment of 3,540 solar water pumping systems across Maharashtra. The total value of the order stood at approximately Rs 717.5 million, excluding GST.
