SJVN and GUVNL sign PPA for three hydro projects in Himachal Pradesh

SJVN has signed power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) for the supply of green power from its upcoming hydroelectric projects (HEPs) in Himachal Pradesh. The hydro projects include the 66 MW Dhaulasidh HEP, the 210 MW Luhri Stage-I HEP and the 382 MW Sunni Dam HEP.

In March 2026, SJVN announced the results of its interstate transmission system-connected 600 MW wind power auction. KPI Green, Urdhvaga and Adyant secured 300 MW, 120 MW and 110 MW, respectively, at a tariff of Rs 3.64 per kWh each, while Lambent Energy secured the remaining 70 MW under the bucket-filling method at a tariff of Rs 3.65 per kWh.

In February 2026, SJVN announced the results of its 250 MW/500 MWh standalone battery energy storage system auction. Hardi Hydro Energy emerged as the successful bidder for the project at the 1,360 MW Panipat Thermal Power Station in Haryana, securing the capacity at a tariff of Rs 197,000 per MW per month.
