Serentica Renewables has announced plans to invest Rs 1,000 billion in Rajasthan over the coming years to expand its renewable energy capacity, with more than Rs 100 billion already invested in the state. Rajasthan accounts for over 50 per cent of the company’s total solar portfolio, with projects in Bikaner and Jaisalmer and planned expansion to Bhadla.
Furthermore, the company will commission Phase I of a 200 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Bikaner, while Phase II, with an additional 800 MWh capacity, is expected to come online over the next three months. Serentica also plans to expand its Fatehgarh solar project with an initial capacity of 1,270 MWp, followed by another 500 MWp and a 2,500 MWh BESS in FY 2026-27. These projects are part of the company’s planned renewable energy pipeline of 27,000 MW.
Serentica has over 2,500 MW of operational renewable energy capacity and more than 3,000 MW under construction. The company aims to supply 67 billion units of clean electricity each year, helping reduce 47 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.
