NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited, has invited bids for the supply and installation of wind turbine generators (WTGs) for an interstate transmission system-connected wind energy project in Davangere, Karnataka. The project has a planned capacity of 813 MW, comprising 271 WTGs. The bid submission deadline is July 16, 2026.
According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work covers the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, erection, installation, testing and commissioning of WTGs with a capacity of 3 MW or above that are listed under Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (Wind). The selected bidder will also be responsible for ensuring the guaranteed performance of the wind project through the installation of WTGs, control panels, supervisory control and data acquisition systems and control software. Additionally, the scope comprises the design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of unit substations for each WTG, along with the associated electrical infrastructure required for grid connectivity.
Furthermore, the scope covers providing 10 years of operations and maintenance services for the supplied system, including WTGs and the unit substations, starting from the commissioning of the project. The bidders are required to submit a bid security of Rs 1 billion. According to the financial criteria, the bidders are required to have an average annual turnover of at least Rs 10.68 million per MW of the quoted capacity during the last three financial years.
