NGEL commissions part solar capacity of RTC project in Rajasthan  

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has announced commercial operations of third tranche of 50 MW solar capacity (cumulative 250 MW solar) out of the 300 MW solar component, as part of 200 MW renewable energy round-the-clock (RTC) project in Rajasthan. Project Sixteen Renewable Power Private Limited, a step-down subsidiary of the joint venture ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited, developed the project. With this addition, NGEL’s total installed capacity has increased to 10,671.40 MW.

In April 2026, NGEL commenced commercial operations of the seventh part capacity of 90 MW out of the 1,200 MW Khavda-II solar project in Gujarat.

Furthermore, earlier in March 2026, NGEL commissioned 91.6 MW of its 250 MW solar photovoltaic project in Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh, making the project fully operational, while the remaining 158.4 MW capacity of the project had been commissioned earlier in February 2026.
