MN8 Energy commissions 260 MW solar projects in US

MN8 Energy has commissioned two utility-scale solar projects totaling 260 MWac of capacity. These projects have long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Microsoft. The projects include the 120 MW Long Point solar project in Texas and the 140 MW American Beech project in North Carolina. The Long Point project supplies renewable power to ERCOT’s Houston load zone, while American Beech supplies renewable power into the PJM market.

In May 2026, MN8 Energy commenced commercial operations at the Pome battery energy storage system in Poway, California. The project provides 100 MW/400 MWh of storage capacity and is fully contracted to Sonoma Clean Power under a 10-year tolling agreement. The project will help SCP store and dispatch electricity into the CAISO market.

In February 2026, MN8 Energy signed a PPA with Meta for the 80 MW Walker Solar Project in Juniata County, Pennsylvania. Under the agreement, Meta will purchase 100 percent of the project’s renewable energy output. The project is currently under development and is expected to commence operations by the end of 2026.
