Qualitas Energy acquires 164 MWp solar PV project in US

Qualitas Energy has acquired a 164 MWp solar PV project in Illinois, US. The project, purchased from Bechtel Enterprises, is located within the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) electricity market. The project is expected to reach notice to proceed in the second quarter of 2028, with commercial operations commencing in the third quarter of 2029. The project has secured 100 per cent site control and other permits. It also has the potential to integrate up to 64 MWac of battery energy storage, enabling future solar-plus-storage power purchase agreements.

In June 2026, Qualitas Energy signed an agreement with ACL Energy to finance the construction of a 211 MW BESS portfolio in Italy. The portfolio consists of two BESS projects located in Lombardy and Apulia, featuring 4-hour and 8-hour storage systems. Both projects have secured long-term revenue streams through 15-year contracts awarded under Italy’s Capacity Market and MACSE storage auctions.

In April 2026, Qualitas Energy secured 126 MW across three wind projects in February 2026 onshore wind auctions conducted by the German Federal Network Agency. The projects, located in Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, and Baden-Württemberg, involve the development of 18 turbines. The projects will power around 84,000 households once they commence operations.
