GE Vernova secures order for 100 MW wind project in Gujarat from Powerica

GE Vernova has inked an agreement with Powerica Limited for the supply of onshore wind turbines. Under the agreement, GE Vernova will supply 28 units of its 3.8 MW-154m wind turbines for the 100 MW Botad wind farm in Gujarat. Along with the supply, the order also covers the installation of the wind turbines.

Furthermore, the turbines will be supplied from GE Vernova’s manufacturing facility in Pune, Maharashtra. The power purchase agreement for the wind project was secured by Powerica through an auction conducted by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited. The deliveries of the turbines are expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2026.

In May 2026, GE Vernova secured an order from Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited for the supply of nine pumped-storage units of 150 MW each for the 1.35 GW Upper Sileru Hydropower plant in Andhra Pradesh.
