Advait Energy Transitions Limited, through its subsidiary Advait BESS Bhesaan Private Limited, has entered into a battery energy storage purchase agreement (BESPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL). The BESPA is for the development of a 150 MW/300 MWh standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Gujarat. The agreement for the project was executed following GUVNL’s tariff-based competitive bidding process under Phase VIII.
Furthermore, the project will be developed near Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation’s 220 kV Bhesan AIS substation. In addition, the BESPA has a tenure of 12 years, during which Advait BESS Bhesaan Private Limited will be responsible for the development, ownership, and operation of the project while ensuring the availability of the contracted storage capacity to GUVNL.
In March 2026, Advait Greenergy Private Limited, a subsidiary of Advait Energy Transitions Limited, inaugurated a 30 MW alkaline electrolyser assembly facility in Mehsana, Gujarat.
