KIOCL floats tender for 2.7 MWp floating PV project in Karnataka

KIOCL Limited has invited bids for a floating solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant at its blast furnace unit reservoir in Mangaluru, Karnataka. According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work includes design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning works for a plant with a minimum capacity of 2.7 MWp. 

The project will be developed on a build-own-operate basis. The deadline for bid submission is June 22, 2026. The scope further covers preparation of the detailed project report, manufacturing, procurement, erection, and commissioning of the floating solar PV plant. 

The selected bidder is also required to complete power evacuation up to the Pellet Plant CPP HT panel through a 6.6 kV feeder. They are also required to oversee the associated utilities, electrical systems, automation, civil foundations, supporting structures, and operation and maintenance of the plant. Additionally, the bidder is required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 7.06 million.
