Phoenix Contact has launched the TRIO POWER panel-mount power supply solution, designed to deliver reliable power output of up to 2.5 kW in a compact and durable housing. The product is suitable for battery energy storage systems (BESSs), as well as system modernisation and retrofit applications. The solution provides flexible panel-mounting options, including lateral and rear housing attachment, allowing easy integration into both new installations and existing control cabinets. The product has been designed for continuous 24/7 operation, and is aimed at supporting the high availability requirements of modern energy storage, power conversion and grid support systems.
In addition, the product features a built-in OR-ing diode that enables direct parallel connection for the fast deployment of redundant power architectures, thereby enhancing supply reliability in critical BESS control and monitoring applications. Further, the system capacity can be scaled up to 10 kW. The static boost function of 120 per cent and dynamic boost capability of 140 per cent for five seconds help handle temporary peak loads during charging, discharging and system transitions. In addition, the series connection feature enables flexible output voltage configuration. The advanced monitoring capabilities of the product, such as LED status indication, controller area network bus communication, cooling fan monitoring and end-of-life alerts, enable proactive maintenance and reduce downtime, which is essential for long-life BESS assets.
