NGEL announces audited financial results for FY 2025-26

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has announced its audited financial results for the financial year (FY) 2025-26. The company’s standalone total income stood at Rs 21.43 billion in FY 2025-26, decreasing from Rs 22.73 billion in FY 2024-25. Operating (earnings before interest and taxes) margin decreased to 59.80 per cent in FY 2025-26 from 65.47 per cent in FY 2024-25. Profit after tax (PAT) also decreased to Rs 4.05 billion in FY 2025-26 from Rs 4.89 billion in FY 2024-25.

In the fourth quarter (Q4) of FY 2025-26, the company reported total income of Rs 5.33 billion, declining from Rs 6.86 billion in Q4 FY 2024-25. Operating margin declined to 57.21 per cent in Q4 FY 2025-26 from 80.14 per cent in Q4 FY 2024-25. PAT fell from Rs 2.05 billion in Q4 FY 2024-25 to Rs 0.94 billion in Q4 FY 2025-26. 

Earlier this month, NGEL floated a tender inviting bids for the development of enabling infrastructure and related works for the green hydrogen hub at Pudimadaka, Andhra Pradesh. According to the tender specifications, the scope of work includes grading and levelling of land within the project area by cutting excess soil/rock and filling suitable soil where required.
