IGL invites bids to set up 200 MW solar project in Rajasthan

Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has invited bids for the setting up of a 200 MWdc (160 MWac) solar power project in Rajasthan. The project will also include an integrated battery energy storage system (BESS). 

The scope of work includes the survey, design, engineering, supply, procurement, installation, erection, construction, commissioning, and operation and maintenance of a grid-connected solar PV power plant on an EPC basis. The project also includes setting up a 10 MW, two-hour battery energy storage system, along with a 220 kV or above transmission line with central transmission utility connectivity, including land acquisition. In addition, the contract includes providing five years of operation and maintenance services. The deadline for bid submission is June 9, 2026.

Earlier, in September 2025, IGL and Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited inked a joint venture agreement to set up large-scale solar projects in Rajasthan, starting with a 500 MW solar project in the state.
