Premium Group has inaugurated a new advanced manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune, marking a significant step in strengthening their industrial and renewable energy ecosystem under the Make in India initiative. The facility was inaugurated on May 8, by Mr Karan Thapar, Chairman – Premium Group, in the presence of Mr. Niraj Bisaria, MD & President – Premium Group, in the presence of Niraj Bisaria, board members, and senior leadership. The expansion is aimed at enhancing manufacturing capabilities and meeting rising demand for precision-engineered solutions across domestic and global markets.
The company highlighted that the next phase of manufacturing growth will be driven by intelligent operations, optimized performance, and lifecycle reliability rather than scale alone. Through its Premium Motion vertical, the group is focusing on renewable energy and industrial motion solutions, offering products such as slew drives, dampers, linear actuators, and robotic cleaning systems designed to improve solar tracking accuracy, efficiency, and long-term productivity. These solutions are expected to support higher energy yields and reduce operational losses for renewable energy projects.
Alongside advanced manufacturing, the group is also expanding its lifecycle service capabilities through Premium Care, which provides gearbox overhauling, predictive maintenance, diagnostics, and condition monitoring services. Backed by more than six decades of engineering expertise through Premium Transmission Limited, the company said its growing network of service centres across India and international markets will help customers improve uptime, reduce maintenance costs, and extend equipment life. The new Chakan facility reflects the group’s broader strategy to deliver engineering solutions that are designed and manufactured in India while serving global industries.
