Purvah Green, a subsidiary of Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation (CESC), has inked a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) for a 250 MW wind project. The capacity was secured in the SECI Wind Tranche XIX auction, which concluded in February 2026. The project was secured at a competitive tariff of Rs 3.69 per kWh.
Furthermore, the clean energy from the project will be supplied to Uttar Pradesh and Odisha. This will help meet their growing demand for renewable power. The project is expected to be completed and commissioned within the next 24 months.
Earlier, in April 2026, CESC inked four PPAs to procure power from grid-connected wind-solar hybrid projects.
