NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has commenced commercial operations of the seventh part capacity of 90 MW out of 1,200 MW Khavda-II solar project in Gujarat. With this addition, the total installed capacity of the NTPC group and NGEL has reached 89,705 MW and 10,453.9 MW, respectively.
In April 2026, NGEL announced commercial operations of 150 MW capacity from a 300 MW solar project located in Rajasthan. The solar capacity was developed by Project Sixteen Renewable Power Private Limited, a step-down subsidiary of the joint venture ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited.
In March 2026, NGEL commissioned 91.6 MW of its 250 MW solar project in the Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh. With the commissioning of this capacity, the solar project is now fully operational. Furthermore, 158.4 MW part capacity of the project was commissioned earlier in February 2026.
