COFIDES and Enhol Group partner to advance the 396 MW Illa solar project in Arequipa, Peru. The total investment for the project exceeds $350 million, with COFIDES contributing $40 million through the Fund for Foreign Investment (FIEX) and a syndicated project finance loan. 80 per cent of the electricity generated from the project will be sold under a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) to Kallpa Generación.
In March 2026, COFIDES invested up to €150 million through the co-investment fund (FOCO) fund in a renewable hybridisation platform, created by Equitix. The platform partners with developers like Capital Energy to build wind, solar PV, and battery storage projects. It aims to reach 1.4 GW of capacity by 2030, with 330 MW already operational or under construction and 200 MW currently in development across Castilla-y-Leon, Castilla-la-Mancha, Aragon, and Navarre in Spain.
In October 2025, COFIDES invested €50 million through the co-investment fund (FOCO) in SWEN Impact Fund for Transition 3 (SWIFT 3) in Luxembourg. The fund, managed by SWEN Capital Partners, focuses on production and distribution of renewable gas assets, including biomethane and green hydrogen. The fund, targeting a total size of €1 billion, plans to invest €20-€50 million in each project.
