CleanCapital divests 120 MW solar project to Energix Renewables in Ohio

CleanCapital has divested the 120 MW Nottingham solar project to Energix Renewables. The project, located in Harrison County, Ohio, was originally developed by BQ Energy, which was acquired by CleanCapital in 2022. The transaction follows CleanCapital’s recent acquisition of a 7.7 MW energy storage joint venture, closing a $300 million HoldCo facility and a $185 million debt private placement to support its growth.

In October 2025, CleanCapital commenced commercial operations of its 3.59 MW Elk Street solar project in Buffalo, New York. The project is expected to generate over 4,100 MWh annually and support New York’s clean energy targets, under the National Grid’s Expanded Solar for All (E-SFA) program. This project is part of CleanCapital’s West Elk Fork portfolio, alongside projects in West Park and Milan.

In July 2025, CleanCapital acquired a 51.2 MW operating solar portfolio comprising 64 projects from Greenbacker. This deal expands CleanCapital’s portfolio to over 350 operating and under-construction solar and storage assets. The portfolio spans 13 US states and includes a mix of rooftop and ground-mounted solar systems.
