NLC India inks €100 million loan agreement with KfW

NLC India Limited has entered into a loan agreement worth 100 million with KfW.  The funding is intended to support the company’s renewable energy initiatives, particularly in solar generation and battery energy storage systems (BESS). Additionally, the agreement is expected to provide access to capital at competitive rates while also helping diversify the borrowing portfolio of NLC India Limited.

 In January 2026, NLC India Limited fully commissioned its 300 MW Barsingsar solar power project in Bikaner district, Rajasthan. The project has been implemented under the central public sector undertaking scheme of the Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.

Also in January 2026, NLC India Limited inked a MoU with the Gujarat government for the development of large-scale renewable energy projects in the state. The projects include solar, wind, hybrid, and BESS. These projects represent an estimated investment potential of Rs 250 billion.
