SWERL secures Rs 35.5 billion renewable energy orders

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWERL) has emerged as the L1 bidder in a tender floated by Coal India Limited for a turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) package. The project involves developing an 875 MWac grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in Bikaner. The total contract value, including operations and maintenance and applicable taxes, is approximately Rs 34.9 billion.

The company has also secured a 50 MWac project in Maharashtra. The project was secured from an Indian private independent power producer.

Earlier in December 2025, SWERL secured a letter of intent from a private power producer for the balance-of-system work and the EPC of a solar PV project.
