SAEL commissions 600 MW solar projects in Andhra Pradesh

SAEL Industries Limited has commissioned 600 MWac solar capacity, consisting of two 300 MW solar plants, in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, through its subsidiaries SAEL Solar MHP1 Private Limited and SAEL Solar MHP2 Private Limited. The projects, spread across more than 2,400 acres, utilise over 1.2 million bifacial TOPCon modules manufactured at the company’s facilities located in Punjab and Rajasthan.

Furthermore, SAEL has executed 25-year power purchase agreements with Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited, ensuring long-term offtake for the generated power. The commissioned capacity is expected to offset approximately 1.1 million tonnes of carbon emissions annually. With this addition, SAEL Industries Limited’s total operational renewable capacity has exceeded 2.5 GWp.

In January 2026, SAEL Industries Limited commissioned a 1 GWp/800 MWac solar power plant at the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in Gujarat. The plant has been commissioned through SAEL’s subsidiaries, SAEL Solar P4 Private Limited and SAEL Solar P5 Private Limited. Furthermore, the solar plant will be backed by a 25-year long-term power purchase agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited.
