Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation Limited (CESC) has inked four power purchase agreements (PPAs) to procure power from grid-connected wind-solar hybrid projects. The cumulative capacity of power that will be procured is 600 MW. The agreements were executed with Purvah Green Power Private Limited (300 MW), Vismaya Renewables India Project Private Limited (100 MW), Hexa Climate Solutions Private Limited (100 MW), and Sprng Energy Private Limited (100 MW).
Furthermore, all PPAs will be valid for 25 years. The applicable tariff for power procurement under the PPAs signed with Purvah Green Power, Hexa Climate Solutions, and Sprng Energy is Rs 3.75 per kWh. Meanwhile, the applicable tariff for power procurement under the PPAs signed with Vismaya Renewables India Project is Rs 3.74 per kWh.
In November 2025, CESC floated a tender for the development of 600 MW of interstate transmission system-connected wind-solar hybrid projects, which will be developed under a build-own-operate model.
