SWELECT Energy Systems Limited has launched an off-grid solar cooking solution powered by clean energy, designed to reduce dependence on conventional energy sources. The system uses solar panels to operate standard electrical induction stoves, eliminating the need for both grid electricity and cooking gas. Its technology enables seamless cooking entirely on solar power, ensuring uninterrupted usage while shielding households from volatile liquefied petroleum gas prices and uncertain gas availability. Additionally, the solution helps lower long-term fuel and electricity expenses, making it a cost-effective option for households over time. It also ensures zero emissions at the point of use, contributing to improved indoor air quality and healthier living conditions.
Greenvize has unveiled a hydrogen-based cooking system that offers a clean and decentralised alternative to conventional cooking fuels. The system integrates a proton exchange membrane electrolyser directly into the unit, enabling on-site hydrogen generation from water without the need for storage or distribution infrastructure. Unlike traditional supply chains that are dependent on pressurised cylinders or pipelines, the appliance produces hydrogen instantly when the user turns the knob, ensuring seamless and on-demand operation. The appliance requires around 100 ml of distilled or reverse osmosis water and approximately 1 kWh of electricity to deliver up to six hours of continuous cooking. It can also be paired with rooftop solar systems to enable fully off-grid cooking powered entirely by renewable energy. Additionally, the hydrogen stove offers zero smoke and zero pollution, operates with a smooth and silent flame, and eliminates dependence on gas cylinders. The appliance has been designed for both residential and commercial kitchens.
