NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited, has invited bids for the supply of solar photovoltaic modules for 1,000 MW solar projects in Lalitpur and Chitrakoot in Uttar Pradesh. The supply is intended for Lalitpur-1 (435 MWp), Lalitpur-2 (435 MWp), and Chitrakoot-1 (580 MWp), aggregating to a total DC capacity of 1,450 MWp.
According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work includes manufacturing, supply, packing, forwarding, and transportation of crystalline bifacial solar PV modules with a minimum rating of 570 Wp. The modules must fall under the open category and be listed in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers List-I. Additionally, the bidders are required to submit bid security of either Rs 100 million or Rs 200 million, depending on the quoted capacity blocks. The deadline for bid submission is April 27, 2026.
According to the eligibility criteria, the bidders are required to have manufactured and supplied solar modules or cells with a cumulative capacity of at least 200 MWp within any consecutive 12-month period in the past five years, including at least one order of 50 MWp or higher. Alternatively, supply experience equivalent to 2.14 times the quoted capacity within any consecutive 12-month period in the past five years will also be considered. Furthermore, the bidders must have an average annual turnover of Rs 2.09 million per MWp, over the past three financial years. Additionally, the net worth of the bidder, or in combination with its holding or subsidiary companies, must be at least equal to 100 per cent of the paid-up share capital, subject to specified conditions, with their net worth individually more than 75 per cent of the paid-up share capital.
