Vihaan Clean & Green Tech Private Limited has launched a biomass-based boiler plant as part of its phase 2 expansion in Gujarat. The facility is designed to operate entirely on biomass fuel, with the aim of reducing reliance on fossil fuels across its operations. The project is expected to lower carbon emissions by approximately 81,000 tonnes annually.
Moreover, the initiative is aligned with circular economy practices and is intended to support rural supply chains, with involvement from HyFun Foods. The plant utilises advanced biomass boiler systems that run on agricultural waste, enabling the conversion of crop residue into a consistent energy source. This approach ensures uninterrupted steam generation while improving overall energy efficiency.
Furthermore, Vihaan has partnered with Thermax and TOESL to strengthen the technical performance of the boiler systems through the adoption of established technology standards. The initiative supports domestic manufacturing efforts under the Atmanirbhar Bharat programme.
