Sunsure Energy inks three solar PPAs with Wonder Cement

Sunsure Energy has entered into three consecutive long-term solar open-access power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Wonder Cement to supply renewable power across Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. The agreements involve delivering a total of 30 MWp of solar capacity. Power is being supplied to Wonder Cement’s facilities in Dhule, Maharashtra and Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh from Sunsure Energy’s 150 MWp project in Solapur and 49 MWp project in Augasi, respectively.

This arrangement is anticipated to reduce carbon emissions by approximately 33,000 tonnes annually. Additionally, renewable energy will account for around 67 per cent of electricity consumption at the Dhule facility and 52 per cent at the Aligarh facility, thereby lowering dependence on conventional grid power.

In March 2026, Sunsure Energy secured Rs 6.06 billion in debt funding for multiple renewable energy projects from Aseem Infrastructure Finance Limited and RBL Bank. Of this, Rs 4.61 billion was provided by Aseem Infrastructure Finance Limited to support solar projects in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh (UP). Additionally, RBL Bank extended Rs 1.44 billion towards refinancing Sunsure’s solar project in Augasi, Uttar Pradesh.
