Neuron Energy has commissioned a battery energy storage system (BESS) manufacturing facility in Talegaon, Maharashtra. The facility has been developed to manufacture containerised BESS for deployment across solar and grid infrastructure. The manufacturing unit has an annual production capacity of 5 GWh.
Additionally, the facility can produce up to 1,000 containerised BESS units annually. It has been established with an investment of Rs 1 billion and spans an area of seven acres. It has been designed as an automated production unit focused on containerised energy storage solutions. The company will cater to solar developers, commercial and industrial consumers, and utilities. Furthermore, it plans to allocate 60 per cent of its output to the domestic market and 40 per cent for exports.
Founded in 2018, Neuron Energy is a manufacturer of energy storage systems, lithium-ion electric vehicle (EV) batteries, and EV chargers. The company has manufacturing facilities in Kapashera (Delhi), Noida and Pune.
